Kick-Off of the Icelandic Music Museum (IMM)

Announcement concerning the virtual Icelandic Music Museum
On my previous blog I mixed old & new Icelandic music: past - present - future.
Back to the futureThe goal of this new blog is to provide information about former Icelandic bands and to provide a complete biography of bands & artists in the picture these days.
Main focus will be on rare Icelandic recordings & rare collaborations. A lot of bands recorded stuff (most for friends & family) on hard to find cassettes, vinyls (7" and 12"), do it yourself CD-Rs, CDs etc.
Dr. Gunni made 4 radioshows about Icelandic music released on cassettes.
Here today, tomorrow next week
If you want to understand the music of today, you have to study the past. E.g. on my fanpage for Hellvar, I digged in the history of the members (Texas Jesus, Tommygun Preachers, Heidingjarnir, Unun,...).
This blog will try to inform you about some hard to find fine Icelandic music.
Note for the artists
You can send me some material to be posted on the blog. All ideas are welcome.
